Oh, readers, my friends!
This post might get quite long as i have many pictures to share, main themes being FOOD and
And there is no way i would make two separate posts because… …i am going to an aikido training camp tomorrow! However i will be there only for a week or just 5 days, so i’ll be back soon It will be a great opportunity to take a break from computer!
o I’ll start with posting food pictures i have on my memory card – have to clean it in order to take new pictures in the camp! I doubt i’ll take many because i will be busy with all those trainings, maybe even 4 trainings a day!!! Well 2 is okay and 3 as well, but 4? I’ll tell you if we really had 4 trainings when i come back
From oldest to newest
Oven roasted potatoes with herbs + eggplant + marrow + cottage cheese
Two kinds of lettuce + two boiled eggs + dried tomatoes in olive oil + cucumbers
I rarely eat boiled eggs, but when i do i prefer them to be semi boiled – still soft, but not runny. And warm of course, cold eggs ≠ tasty.
Rice porridge + almonds + strawberry jam + banana
This porridge was cooked on almond&rice milk which makes it the riciest rice porridge ever! Besides it is also almondy because it has almonds inside too, it makes me smile
Greens + dried tomatoes + soy pieces
Soy pieces? You mean tofu? – no, i mean dried soy pieces i bought in my beloved Rāma after having eaten their soy goulash so often, here’s how they look unprepared :
You have to soak those in hot water for 10-20min and until they become soft
I only made a few since it was my first time preparing those and was surprised how good it turned out! Actually they tasted great just being soaked too, i really suggest those!
Soo refreshing and sweet + vegan! Who said that vegans are deprived of ice-cream? I like sorbet more than most of milk ice-creams actually, that fresh berry’ish taste hits the spot in a hot summer day!
I am glad that from those 5 foods i posted 3 are vegan, that’s a good ratio for me as i am not depriving myself and enjoying meals with family, but substituting when possible. My parents don’t allow me to go fully vegan yet, but i am doing as much as i can to help animals, i believe that if everyone had one vegan meal a day it would also be enough to lessen the number of animal cruelty and gradually the number of farms would become smaller.
o Now let’s talk about the power of pink I have said that ivory is my favorite color, but i must admit that pink shares the honor. I found an interesting and creative project online, it is called The Pink & Blue Project, it is a collection of photos of little girls posing with loads of pink stuff and little boys posing with lots of blue stuff. With lots i mean lots :
That’s SeoWoo in sea of pinkness
And this is Jimin who Loves everything blue
The project raises issues as gender identity, consumerism and others, however when i first saw those pictures first word that came into my head was obsession. Crazy kids and their parents who let them buy so much crap! But then i thought about myself, about my obsession with pink and red while being little, i had more than 10 Barbies and lots of Shelly type dolls, they lived in a pink barbie house my sister gave me after grew out of Barbies. I was a tomboy in pink, getting in fights, but wearing pink from head to toes.
And to think of it, i still have many pink stuff. I tried to gather them together and make something similar to kids in photos.
Elizabete and her pink things
Can not compete with those little gals though, they have pink walls while i have orange – what was i thinking when choose to paint them orange? Eight-year-old me, you didn’t even like orange!
Elizabete and princess heri, i am holding a pink radio in my other hand btw
Heri Loves pink ( she has a pink bed ), but she didn’t seem to be excited about trying on my new, pink swimsuit…
Don’t those pictures just scream This girl is 16 and going to an aikido camp tomorrow to fight with grown men! – yep, they do.
What’s your opinion on color pink?
