Hey, Eli here – surprise, surprise!
It is raining on and off today, but generally the weather is good, 18°C, good temperature for running, huh? I thought it was and went for a run. For a run in my new running tights if you may
In moms room, she has a mirror while i don’t , if you look closely you can see orange walls of my room in the background
Looking professional, but NOT. I only ran ~4km and walked ~2 (in forest) didn’t really have the strength or what not, however my legs felt really good and i didn’t feel awkward at all with wearing tight pants, so if you don’t know to buy similar ones, i’d say go for it!
In middle of my run it started to rain, so i started walking and enjoying the fragrance of rainy forest, sweet. There are actually really few times i enjoy rain without crying for an umbrella, the thing is that i am worried about my hair. Yeah, silly, i know, but i just hate the feeling of wet hair, that itching! I also have a confession – i don’t like washing my hair. I used to wash my hair once a week, but now i wash it once in every 3 days or so, just because when my hair is dirty it kind of starts to fall out, not a lot, but still annoying.
First world problem i can relate to
Other first world problems for me are dead flies in my cup of water. I put a cup of water by my bed every night, so that i could drink as soon as i wake up and every single morning there are dead flies in my cup. I should probably put something on the cup to prevent this. Talking about insects – there were food moths hiding in my kitchen, my mom put all the grains in special containers that moths can not get into, but they still somehow managed to get into the cookie container, oh, well we didn’t like those old cookies anyway. Sorry cookies. The worst part is that when there is a moth flying around kitchen and you have to kill it or it will make moth babies and they’ll eat everything! I hate killing, even if it’s a moth, ew, killing sucks.
Talking about food and first world food :
Wholegrain cheerios + almond&rice milk + banana + pb + a peach
I bought that expensive and super sweet almond&rice milk again. At least it is cheaper than this nice almond milk i tried two months ago, i just can not bring myself to bring a milk that costs more than 3ls ( 5$ ) it’s ridiculous!
Sometimes i feel like a bad person because i am so privileged. I have a nice flat, i can afford to buy lots of food and clothes, both my mom and dad own a car… and then my mom starts nagging about how we don’t have enough money to go to Morocco or Australia or whatever! Well, i can kind of understand that because almost all things are paid by my father who is divorced from mom, but still we aren’t poor.
Poor koala lost his home due to wildfire, but got saved.
I remember how i was involved with Peta when i was 11 and i printed a flyer that said Fish are friend not food and sticked that flyer to an entry door of a house Currently the biggest favor i am doing to animals is being a vegetarian and occasional vegan if you can say so, also i am raising a pug, giving a dog a loving house
On another note, i am quite enjoying the show Portlandia which is about…umm, Portland, Oregon. The song in the first seasons pilot episode is stuck in my head!
Dream of the 90′s yeaa, Portland, are you some paradise or what?
This is obviously a comedy, but still Portland sounds likes some amazing place. I want to go there and work in a feminist bookshop while going to vegan cafe next door for lunch!
What are your first world problems + have you ever watched Portllandia?
